THE PROCESS
You will learn the coiling technique using natural and recycled materials. This technique dates back 10,000 years and provides a strong sense of connection to ancestors, past lives, family/community and self. With each stitch, passing round and round, a journey of new connection, energy and growth begins.
Coiling is a creative meditation that is really beautiful in a group circle bringing free-flowing peaceful energy to the maker and a greater sense of connection to Mother Earth, the self and those around us.
We will have the opportunity to learn about weaving with natural, recycled and sustainable materials including harvesting and preparation of invasive species.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE
You will receive a light snack, tea, water and materials to start and complete a basket, guidance through the weaving process and will leave with a new meditative and creative practice. As the workshop ends you will have access to my online resources and can add yourself to the private weaving group, as well as a chance to purchase additional weaving materials, kits, bases, bundles to continue your weaving journey.
THE SETTING
We will be located in the new and lovely inspirational Artifact Gallery in qathet. This is an intimate weaving circle comfortably seated on the floor so please bring something to sit on to keep yourself comfortable (chairs available if needed after the introduction).
Suitable for 11yrs and up. No children under 11 please, focus is needed and there is a meditation aspect involved.
WHAT TO BRING
Something special to add to the altar in the middle of the weaving circle to soak up all the good intentions and creative energy. You will keep your own items so please remember to take them home with you.
Anything you need to keep yourself comfortable, seated on the floor (a cushion), warm and happy for 3 hours.
If you have any special needs to email comfortable for the duration of the workshop please communicate them to me prior to the workshop.

Bookings are essential. All bookings are a donation of $129 CAD to attend this workshop. Spaces are limited and fill quickly for BC classes.
