Details
These beautiful Australian Gum Tree wood rounds are designed to use as a base to coil weave from and allow you to choose your own materials to start your unique weaving projects with.
They are soft to touch so your wool won't catch when weaving and come with a needle that fits the holes along with your wool perfectly.
No trees are harmed to create any of my creations, wood bases come from fallen tree limbs within my family property in Australia. These are cut, sanded and drilled by my father and I. All creations are made with love and respect in honor of mother nature's beauty and magic.
Each piece is unique and has nature's natural markings from all different conditions, all wood bases have been immersed in water, dried out and sealed airtight for 5 months each to ensure there are no nasty creatures hiding in them to protect our environment.
Please get in touch if you would like weaving workshops for groups or individuals as we offer a range of options to suit your needs.
FREE gift wrapping on request.
Sizes vary per pice: Diameter approximately 10 to 13cm, thickness approximately 8mm to 1cm per piece.

The Process
The coiling technique dates back 10,000 years ago, leaving a strong sense of connection to ancestors, past lives, family and community, and the self. With each stitch connecting to the next passing round and round, every time something new is woven it creates a new journey bringing amazing energy and growth. Weaving creates a natural meditative state to bring peace to the maker that carries over to the owner of the basket.
